Could You Be Playing Doubles?

Whenever possible, look for a task that can be doubled up with other tasks. Do your errands and dictate a letter while traveling. Ride your exercise bike and read your favorite novel. Organize your workspace while you’re on hold on the phone.

Double your results this week by combining tasks whenever possible. Pair’em up and polish’em off! “Piggybacking” pays off!

Today’s TQ Challenge: Seek to Double Results — Ask “What Else Now?”

  1. Choose to be PRODUCTIVE! Which items on your Master List can be tackled simultaneously?
  2. Choose to be EFFICIENT! Which small but important daily tasks can you combine with other activities?
  3. Choose to be PROLIFIC! Which upcoming tasks lend themselves to simultaneous accomplishment?

You don’t have to double your speed to double your productivity. Instead, you can increase your results by combining complimentary tasks, projects or roles. Plan ahead and look for ways to maximize your time. Before you proceed, see if there is anything else you could be doing simultaneously. When you find a way to do two things in the same block of time you achieve twice the results — with little additional effort.
